Stories about Sailor Mars

Sailor Mars is the spiritual pillar of the Inner Senshi. She represents the Japanese element of fire and wields it to awesome effect. A Shinto priestess, Rei has some psychic powers gained when meditating in front of her fire and a measure of control over evil spirits. Quick-tempered and assertive (some would say bossy), she makes a steadfast friend and a bitter enemy. Her relationship to Sailor Moon is so complex it has taken 200 episodes and the work of many talented authors to explore.

The Raye Trilogy by Chris Davies

None of Your Business (7k)
Five Minutes (26k)
One Moment Longer (25k)

These three stories examine Raye's feelings towards both Serena and Darien. As good as it gets. His complete works can be found at Stories by Chris Davies.

Come to My Window (4k) by Chris Davies

There is some suggestive content in this story that may not be suitable for minors. The first inkling that Chris views the relationships between the characters a bit differently. Drop Chris a line with your comments, or go visit his site Stories by Chris Davies and read some more.

Pure (11k) by Grace Ting

Like most Rei-centred fics, this one focuses on the eternal triangle. A nicely done, artistic view, showing both the strong side and sensitive side of Rei.

Kaa-san (27k) by Mako-chan

An alternate explanation of Rei's behaviour, stemming back to her childhood. Check out Mako-chan's Home Page for more stories and artwork.

Burn Therapy (6k) by Laura Hudson

Laura takes a page from Chris Davies' book with this astounding tour de force of psychoanalytic prose.

Under a Cloud (183k) by Ken Wolfe

Rei becomes the central figure in a race to save the world from an ecological disaster. This is the fourth story written by Ken Wolfe, and sets up Secrets. It stands on its own merits, but a reading of his three previous stories The Four Horsemen,Frozen Time and Kiss of the Enemy enhance the experience. The series gets wrapped up in Secrets and Pictures at an Exhibition. Ken now has a personal webpage, Ken Wolfe's Place.

Duty, Choices (11k) by Monica Shin

A different side of Rei. This story is one of the few that makes me like Mamoru. The title sums it up quite well. Monica would be glad to hear from you. When you get a moment, check out her website.

Reflections: Hino Rei (1k) by Ross TenEyck

A poem about Rei and (who else?) Usagi. If you liked it, let Ross know. He has written more poems. All can be found on his webpage, Ross TenEyck's Oracular Home Page.

She Walks By Grace (1k) by John Biles

A poem written by Rei about Usagi. Compare it to Ross TenEyck's poem above. If you like it, please drop John Biles a line, then check out his fanfiction page at Bailesu's Fiction Page.

Symphony of the Planets: Mars (26k) by John Biles

The long suffering Rei deals with Grandpa instead of Usagi, for a change. This is one of five stories (each centered around one of the five Inner Senshi) all taking place simultaneously. Each is complete in itself, yet intertwined with the others. All five can be found in one place on the Inner Senshi page. If you like it, please drop John Biles a line, then check out his fanfiction page at Bailesu's Fiction Page.

Best of All the Years (84k) by Chris Davies

The unlikely pairing of Sailor Mars and Priss of the Bubblegum Crisis. Surprisingly, they have a lot in common.. If you liked it, don't forget to e-mail him, and check out the rest of his stories at Stories by Chris Davies. There you will find a monumental (about one megabyte) crossover called "Together Again" that continues the thread, plus a sequel.

Love (4k) by Jelynne
