ALL THE LIGHTS ARE ON IN HERE
by Soylent Green

All the lights are on in here
And I feel so sweet.
The sweetness pools inside my chest
Being heavy, sits on my heart
And stops that disruptive beat.
Quiet now. Very nice.

Though I do fear
That the breath I let go
Will not draw in again.
The sweetness takes its place.

All the lights are on in here
I feel so very good.

For in his eyes
Split in two
I have found the ginzuishou.

Note:

I got the idea for this piece after reading the book "How We Die" by Dr. Sherwin Nuland (nice, cheery bedtime reading, in case you're interested). In the book, Dr. Nuland described in detail the flood of endorphins one gets when subjected to a violent attack (it's designed to nullify pain so that one may either escape or fight back). If the subject dies shortly after the attack, the pleasure-chemicals will still be rampant in his bloodstream, allowing him to pass away in a calm, serene fog. I thought this was just too applicable to Zoisite death scene. I mean, that boy seemed pretty content for one who just got fried by Beryl's sceptre, don't you think? Anyway....
